A tremendous amount of corn is grown in Central China. In the fall, family farms harvest the corn and set it out to dry. The corn is laid out on any and all available surfaces, including along public roadways. If there is a regulations against this, it’s not enforced. In fact, corn can be found drying along roadways all throughout Central China during fall harvest season. In addition to the roadways, flat rooftops are another popular place for farmers to set out their corn.
The man in the picture is riding the main form of transportation for most Chinese: the electric moped, also called the electric bicycle. Also, he’s showing excellent form by riding his bike with his legs crossed.
