A lot of splashing water really shows the limits of video compression at 30 fps and a bit rate of 5,000 kbs. Even when compressing this video at 720p resolution and 5,000 kbs, all that splashing water isn’t rendered very well. Still, you can’t get the general idea of what’s going on.
Apparently youtube is working to allow 60 fps streaming video. That should help with videos that capture a lot of moving things. This video was originally shot in 60 fps and 720p. The original video looks great; all the scenes are smooth and there is no pixelation.
