We often use the many muscles in our faces to communicate our emotions. Even if someone else is not looking, we often still put on a face that reflects what we’re feeling. Such was the case with the young woman in the photo. She and several other young women were hired to hand out awards to university staff at a sporting event. The event was held at the stadium of the university where I work, and it wasn’t particularly well planned. The young women in the red dresses weren’t given clear instructions on what to do. Some of the university staff were late in arriving. The group of award givers had to wait for a while under the bright sunshine. When I took the photo above, the young woman was facing away from the other members of her red-clad cohort. She was seemingly not looking at anything. But her impatience and frustration were written all over her face.
